How I Work With My Clients
As a solo practitioner, I represent you personally.

The first stage in any personal injury representation in my office involves my review of the facts communicated by you, the potential claimant, to determine whether or not the case has merit.

The second stage of such a case would be a face-to-face meeting so that I can hear about the circumstances of your injury first hand.

The third stage, which is the conclusion of our first meeting, we discuss and enter into a professional representation agreement.

Nearly all of my personal injury or workman's compensation cases are handled on a contingent fee basis. A contingent fee basis is where the attorney's fee is based on a percentage of the recovery made. This type of fee relationship would create a partnership between us -- myself as the attorney, and you, my client, as the injured party. In this partnership you serve as the source of information about the circumstances of how the injury occurred, the identity of any witnesses, full details regarding your medical treatment, and the costs of medical and other expenses which you may incur...

As your attorney, I must use my expertise and knowledge to identify the responsible party to your claim and the theory that applies to substantiate legal liability. In addition, I must obtain the evidence and documentation not only to prove liability, but also to prove the extent of damages. The theory of liability and proof of damages is then communicated to the responsible party. Following negotiation with that party, any potential settlement offer will be communicated to you. At this point, all facts and circumstances relating to your claim will be reviewed again by us, so that you can determine whether the settlement is in your best interest. If it is not acceptable, appropriate legal steps will be taken so you will have your day in court.
